Warrior Hikes – 11.9.16

While Sean Gobin was under fire in Afghanistan, he imagined himself taking a long hike to transition from a war zone to a settled life back home. Once back in the States he followed through, bought some hiking equipment and started out on the Appalachian Trail. When he had hiked from end to end, he realized that this experience had been profoundly right for him. He founded Warrior Expeditions, warriorexpeditions.org, to help other vets deal successfully with PTSD.

The Florida Trail fits Gobin’s criteria. It can be hiked in the winter when other trails in North America are snowed in. Vets have already been out on our trail and love the experience. Check out the caption above. More to follow about how the Florida Trail works for vets.
